Marco Toriz

Sport Central Squash Head Professional

With an outstanding background as a professional player and over 14 years of coaching experience, Marco brings both his passion and his expertise to the court, helping you believe & achieve!

Marco is originally from Cordoba, Veracruz, Mexico. He has been part of the National Teams of Mexico as a player and part of the body of National Coaches of Juniors and Seniors, as well as Head Coach of Nuevo León, State of Mexico, and also Player and Squash Mentor at Sport Central obtaining the best results not only Provincials but also National and International.

 

His main achievements as a player are:
-Ranking # 2 in Mexico (2008)
- Silver Medal Team Event, Pan American Tournament, Ecuador 2008

- 2x Provincial Champion - British Columbia Championships 2018 & 2019.

- Gold Medal International Americas Master Games Vancouver 2016
- British Columbia Open Champion 2013, finalist 2015 and 2016.

- British Columbia Ranking #1 2016
- Jericho Open Champion 2015
- 2x Pacific Coast Open Champion at VRC; 2014 and 2016.
- Pacific Rim Open 2016 Champion, Victoria Squash Club.

- 2nd Place, University of Victoria Open 2017.

- 5th Place Canadian Nationals Teams Championships. Representing BC. Windsor, Ontario.
